Say you happen to be at a football game, the odds are that the choices for a snack do not include a healthy salad, but will include burgers, hot dogs, and various other foods that won’t do your waistline much good. Sometimes it can be something as basic as the aroma of the food – find someone who doesn’t enjoy the smell of fried onions rings and you may just have found alien life form from another planet in the solar system or galaxy.
More often than not, we simply crave the unhealthy food because why? Because it is familiar! We’re accustomed to it, we don’t need to actually sit down for a proper meal to eat it. And neither do we need to pair it with just the right side dish or appetizer. It’s simple, it's easy, and it tastes good.
